A Tree Silhouette in Panama, and the Fascinating World

A tree is silhouetted against the sky in Panama City, Panama.
During our walk back from a beach in Panama, I saw this tree that I found to be interesting. Looking back now, I am not entire sure if I was interested in the tree or in the turkey vultures sitting in the top branches of the tree. We have turkey vultures just like those back here at home in Tennessee, so it was interesting to see them there in Panama. Interesting fact: Most of the time here in North America when people see a bird that they think is a buzzard, it is actually a turkey vulture.
But I did like how the tree was silhouetted against the sky, especially in this black and white view. I do not know what kind of tree it is, or why it did not have leaves when we were there. But maybe someone else knows.
Also, you cannot tell due to the lack of color, but just beyond the tree is water, or at least where water should have been. Just like in the post linked above, the tide was way,way out at this time, so there was not that much water to be seen. And as usual, being from a landlocked small town, I found all of that to be fascinating.
Which makes me wonder: What people might find fascinating here?

The Fascinating World
God created the world to be a fascinating place. There is so much detail, so much beauty, so many different climates, so many different animals, that no place is the same as another place.
Sometimes I become immune to seeing all of the beauty that is around us here at home, because I see it every day. I start to take it for granted. But someone who lives somewhere else will come here and be fascinated by all sorts of things that I think are just normal.
When we were in Panama, it was fascinating to see all of the different trees and plants that grow there that we do not have here. And we saw animals such as sloths and howler monkeys that do not live anywhere around us, too. And then, of course, there were the mountains, which are different from our mostly flat Mississippi River Delta here at home. And I could say the same about other places, too.
It is a great blessing that God did not create a boring, ordinary world. He filled it with all sorts of different plants, animals, terrain, and climate, making it fun to go new places and see new things.
For the Lord is a great God, a great King above all gods. The depths of the earth are in his hand, and the mountain peaks are his. The sea is his; he made it. His hands formed the dry land. - Psalm 95:3-5 CSV
About the Photo
This was another one of those photos that I struggled with for a while. I could not find a good balance of light and shadow and color. So I removed the color, and everything else fell into place. Sorry you cannot see the beautiful blue sky being covered up by approaching storm clouds here, but you can get the idea.
Isn’t it interesting that the previous Panama photo that I posted was also in black and white?
