Palm Trees in Panama

Palm Trees in Panama

Palm trees reach for the sky near Panama Bay at Panama City, Panama, during our Panama 2024 trip. Yes, there are a lot of Panamas in that previous sentence. And no, Panama does not pay me for every time I say Panama. But if they are interested in doing so, I am open to negotiation. Have your people call my people.
Getting to a Beach in Panama

Getting to a Beach in Panama

In the previous post of a beach in Panama, I mentioned that getting to the beach was an interesting story in itself. And so as not to keep you waiting any longer, here is that story. We had arrived by van, and we parked at the edge of the fishing village. But that was as far as we could go by car. So we started walking. First, we crossed a suspension bridge over a canal1. I personally like bridges like this one, although I know that some people do not like them at all. At least this one was not suspended that high over the canal down below. I like how bridges like this shake when you walk across them, although all that motion does make it a little difficult to get a clear photo.
Palm Trees on a Beach in Panama

Palm Trees on a Beach in Panama

A group of palm trees on a beach in Panama, as seen during our October 2024 Panama trip. If you know me, you know I like palm trees. And beaches, too. So it was fun to see these palm trees while we were in Panama. However, we did not go out to the beach for a lazy afternoon of sitting in the sun. This was a working trip and not a recreation trip, after all.
On the Beach at Waikiki

On the Beach at Waikiki

Looking down the shore at Waikīkī Beach on the island of Oʻahu during our 2023 Hawaiʻi Trip, because you can never have enough beach photos. Believe it or not, this photo was not used in part 9 of the trip report, although the trip report does have a photo looking down this same general direction at Waikīkī. And this photo has much different processing than those trip report photos, too.
North Shore Beach in Hawaii

North Shore Beach in Hawaii

It looks like a near-perfect beach day at Haleʻiwa Beach Park on the North Shore of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi, as seen during our 2023 Hawaiʻi trip. When you hear of North Shore beaches on Oʻahu, people are probably talking about beaches just a bit east of Haleʻiwa Beach Park. But this park was a nice place for us to visit, and we saw lots of sea turtles out in the water while we were there, too. You can read all about it in Part 7 of the Hawaiʻi trip report.
Beach View at Kaena Point in Hawaii

Beach View at Kaena Point in Hawaii

Waves wash onto the shore at Kaʻena Point Beach on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi during our 2023 Hawaiʻi trip. If you have been following along on the posts from our trip, this photo may look familiar, because I posted a similar view several months ago. This view is not exactly the same as that previous one to begin with. And besides that, I like this one better. The processing makes the photo look clearer and brighter. And just like that previous photo, you can find Laura in this photo if you look closely. Obviously, I like this photo slightly better, as you might can tell from the title of this post.
Crashing Waves at Cocoa Beach

Crashing Waves at Cocoa Beach

Waves crash upon the shore at Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach, Florida. And yes, that is Laura out in the waves. During our October 2023 Florida trip, Laura and I spent a day at Cocoa Beach, one of our favorite places to spend a day. For most of the day it was cloudy and slightly cool, but that did not keep us from getting in the water, and it did not keep us from enjoying our day.
